all that constant sorrow
reveals every sad part of me
weighs down our already wounded hearts
uncaring sorrow steals happiness
like happiness is something free
emotions tear us apart
relevant unhappy days
frequently sad
such lonely nights
if healing love should ever come
embrace us
finally hold our hands
love so often slipping
through our arms and hands
I wonder if love would feel right
if only joy would arrive
join love in a strong majestic stand
perhaps the despondent world
could be an enlightened land
illuminate compassion
envision right with constant good
empathetic divinity if not God
rejoice in decency and civility
make creative love known
quell every vicious indifference
brutality should forever stay away
if only the cruel world
would spin and turn in a profound way
surely creation thinks it should
squelch heartache and despair
let love and joy
mend our wounded souls
what if blue and melancholy
could never settle anywhere
what about this apocalypse
something terrible is coming
do you sense an approaching fire storm
maybe power and might will destroy us all
leaders envisioning barbaric dreams
every iron fist taking on a fascist form
history never redeems evil
every dictator fails in a tragic fatal fall
war should never become the norm
warlords wreak death and destruction
evil men aren't heroic giants at all
igniting the world with a fascist storm
despair as fear takes us deeper
where hell fire
delivered freely
fixed to war's dangerous realm
such a bloody insane place
bad decisions are often made
unstable madmen stand
riveted to their powerful helm
spiritual peace is subsequently traded
once terror and bloodshed have invaded
so all that constant sorrow
each tragic today and tomorrow
weighs down our hearts
steals happiness away
there is nothing
that we can beg or borrow
we can't purchase happiness
no certain fix just any day
knowingly watch us bleed
fall upon our broken knees
scream and die together
succumb to immoral terror
as loveless war
smashes every mirror
hidden truth so immorality goes
thus more demon war
as it growls and grows
