you died
alzheimer's took you first
life's rocky ride
stealing away passion and thirst
then covid stole you away
grieving over you
I have been downhearted
knowing that place
where your remains lay
I broke down and finally cried
but life is full of pain and grief
that last breath you breathed
laying there on your own
knowing life is often cruel
wondering if how you lived your life
is what God had wanted
what God had planned
still you lived and loved
with those many things
you had faith in
all those wondrous things
you truly believed
