horrific awful start
war maims us

destroys life's art
trips us up
tears us down
rips us apart
breaks every thing
into tiny pieces
fragments of what
used to be
ignites raging fire
invites raving desire
I'm so sorry
what we see
I just can't
watch any more
that destructive war
imploding innocent lives
every exploding drone
knowing innocence dies
closing my eyes
I wish war
to be forever
done and gone
wishing war would
truly finally end
wishing peace could
wake us up
let us mend
wishing that profit
war always defends
would dry up
make lasting amends
by stopping war
stop making things
war depends on
stop faking truth
with common lies
let peace prevail
build honest lives
remove war's veil
such elevated deceit
war's morbid tale
approving innovative terror
proving war's concrete
repetitive belligerent error
war degeneratively bleak
leaving nothing good
