Bohemian April donning this Kerouac snow,
Ginsberg flakes drift heavy, thick and slow,
Early birds sing as frigid evening falls,
Brave sprouts shiver as cold spring calls.

Hail! Friend Mercury lend some warming rays!
Kind Jupiter send gentle giant ways!
Warrior Mars abruptly charge this winter cast!
Spectral Venus conjure sweet spring at last!

Long winter months so dark and cold,
Legend thrives midst myth that's seldom told,
Avast Ye brethren seeking welcome spring,
Pray May will dawn, fragrant flowers bring.

Stand firm! Eager gardeners must surely wait,
Spade and hoe in hand by closed garden gate,
Waxing moon, half-blind by clouded curtain, such somber gaze,
As April snow, gently falls, crystal cold, through misty haze.
