Here we are
Speaking about oil and tar
Talking about vapourizing sand
In this epic time of dinosaurs
Changing the sea and land
Some are meat eaters
Raptors with long pointed teeth
Some are grazers and browsers
Far reaching creatures with humongous appetites
Devouring all the greenery
Midst the disappearing scenery
There are scavengers
Those ravenous loathsome few
With their stinking conventions
So many horrible habits
Picking at all the scraps and bitter fragments
Pecking at all those smelly bits
Putrefying orts only lesser species can stomach
Choking down remains generally deemed unfit
Revolting leftovers dominant reptilians leave to rot
Even though their invocations upset the world
That's what we've sorely got
Roughage that always comes out in the end
Like this rippling modern shit storm
Crippling the entire world
We still breathe and walk
In this seething time of dinosaurs
Species that will be buried and forgotten
Perhaps dug up a million years from now
Exposed by some future alien archeologist
Time travelers revealing historic sordid times
Another species discovering centuries of planetary strife
Realizing folly that left the pristine world
A polluted stagnant mess
That fatal blow will come again
Reeking of meteoric vengeance
Something big and streaking
Grazing the awestruck moon
Cosmic segments of mystery
Striking the expectant earth
Fazing earth's geology
Layer upon sedimentary layer
Another end of time moment
One we all have feared
When all the roaring dinosaurs
Reluctantly disappeared
