There's a wave,
Have you seen it?
There's a wave, hast ne'er strayed, out in the ocean,
Surfers have dreamed it,
There's a giant wave, rolling 'cross the wide vast ocean,
Where love is borne, so sweet and gentle,
Where joy is torn, from earth's sweet mantle,
Where gift is given, in harmonious motion.
This wave, so strong, to wit, impassioned,
This energy, we crave, so perfectly fashioned,
Ne'er cresting, rolling strong and forthright,
Ne'er resting, beyond the dawn's true torchlight,
So whence this pale, mixes with the vast,
So whence this ghost, relives the past,
Bring love's instruments, surely play,
Strum those loving strings, surely stay,
Surf that wave, let your heart be strong,
Courage friends, love is ne'er wrong,
Arise! Arise! Let the surf be moved,
Rejoice, in love, as this wave behooved.
Again! Again! Such sweet homily,
Yet next, the voice, test anomaly,
A wave! A wave! Surf this holy station,
Be still, the heart, fixed in every nation.
Avast! A wicked sea comes rolling,
Await! A wicked troll comes trolling,
Across the deep blue sea, come calling,
As love is fixed, a broken heart surfs falling.
