mountains of cripple
raze over us
bristle with this feral birth

unplug the fridge
cancel your appointments
disconnect your phone
say goodbye to us
throw the baby out with the bathwater

there is a gargantuan wave
heaven's poetry in motion
surmounting every universal ripple
appraising time with all this fuss
walk naked again upon this changing earth

pull out your teeth
revise every privilege
chop off your feet
unshackle spirit if you must
sleep with ill-begotten hatred that doesn't matter

there is a monster wave
seven billion plagues in this disastrous potion
life on stage with an earth shattering pimple
confuse and craze with all this current muss
rescind purity and beauty for what that's worth

pluck out your eyes
strangle all your happy dreams
cut out your discordant tongue
smother passion as well as lust
what once was just thought has now begun

each vicious wave
advancing from a viscose ocean
soul shattering events that won't be simple
tormenting mother earth as well as us
lasting sorrow has been unearthed

we are just human
bleeding flesh and broken bones
spirit and soul that are just being
nothing more than feeling and seeing
hearts and minds that can't stop reeling
