confusion
has gripped
your rigid mind
you're daunted
some haunting memory
that dim kind
but you are blind
you sold your soul
when you bought
that smart phone
no wonder
you don't feel whole
that microchip
you hold in your hand
controls your life
they've got your number baby
and that is surety
not a maybe
you pay and pay
you stare and stare
that glaring screen
an institution
control and strife
frigid isolated you
drifting as an iceberg
your robot phone
within your frozen mind
imprisons you
they're tracking you
watching you
on your phone
listening to you
with that ring tone
deciphering your text
something beyond belief
you think you own
your online mental tone
they're tracking you
rearranging you
on your smart T.V
they're watching you
in your house and apartment
where you think
you are free
disillusion as cement
this collusion
this dementia
shackling you
this cloaked fright
is a thief
you're nothing
but a commodity
basic stock
algorithm data
locked forever
in their main frame
you want to revolt
stand against a viral pandemic
insanity has blinded you
thinking you've lost
your democratic vote
you are chained
to this endemic note
you don't know
what freedom truly is
restitution
is at hand
compassionate and kind
destroy that phone
if you want to be free
turn off that mindless smart T.V.
if you want to find yourself
if you no longer
want to be annoyed
if you truly want
to be free
no longer crazed and mad
not used
like some plastic toy
seek that mastery and freedom
deep within you
each breath you take
restores you
still you won't see
because you keep
your blinders on
you think
government
is trying
to control you
but that corporate
phone
is always
doing that job
so you go insane
unencumbered salivating
along with the rest
of the insane mob
you just can't see
real truth
it is so far
beyond you
you can't reclaim
your wit
everything you are fed
is so tasteless and uncouth
your world
held in your hand
each day and night
your robot mind
 it turns you on
this android kind
is your biggest fan
but freedom
will always evade you
because your mind
has been invaded
but you just don't see it
you've been degraded
trading your boring mind
for that inane phone
glitz and shimmering
with its domestic shine
you would be free
realizing life
is not a phone
je suis libre
if only you
would atone
throw away
that manipulating
spying phone
